Twenty-twenty has been a challenging year for all of us, to state the obvious, but LOVE remains strong. When Mom and I began planning this wedding shower for very good friends of ours, we never anticipated precautions such as social distancing and wearing masks. However, the efforts to organize and gather safely blended seamlessly with our plans for a beautiful display of Logan and Keaton's love.
Logan and Keaton chose a vibrant theme of green cacti and succulents paired with gold, rose gold, pink, and salmon tones. Pictures from their engagement session with me were framed and showcased in each tablescape and throughout the decor, along with organic elements.
These organic elements included Mom's hand-picked river rocks, succulents, fresh grapefruit, and beautiful flowers from Love Shyla's garden to pair with the faux cacti and other greenery.
Mom commissioned my dad to construct two new backdrop frames, which were draped and staged for the perfect photo ops!
As always with Little Bird Design, my pap's hand-crafted wooden elements were incorporated throughout our decor. These pieces live permanently in our homes, but we love sharing them for events! I also created custom signs with letterboards, chalkboards, and wooden planks.
Mom's collection of glassware and galvanized pieces supported some of the plants and rocks, as well as displayed food and drinks.
We love how this shower came together, despite the many challenges COVID-19 posed, and we think our couple loved it, too! May they live Happily Ever After!
